Creativity has been at the heart of my career for nearly two decades, but my journey has never been defined by design alone. Every chapter—from branding and photography to security design, print production, quality assurance, technical documentation, project management, and federal project experience—has shaped the way I think, solve problems, and serve the businesses I partner with today.
Along the way, I discovered that meaningful creative work isn't built through beautiful visuals alone. It's built through trust, thoughtful communication, curiosity, and a genuine understanding of the people behind every business.
Those experiences didn't just shape my career.

For years, I had the opportunity to work across many areas of the creative industry—from brand identity and photography to security design and print production, quality assurance, project management, creative leadership, and large-scale federal projects.
Every role challenged me in different ways.
Every project expanded my perspective.
Every experience shaped how I approach creativity today, but through every chapter of my career, one lesson remained constant:
The strongest creative work always came from partnership.

The Realization
Over time, I realized that businesses weren't simply looking for someone to design a logo, build a website, or create marketing materials.
They were looking for someone who would take the time to understand their vision.
Someone who would communicate consistently.
Someone who would solve problems creatively.
Someone who would become a trusted extension of their team.
That realization changed everything!

I didn't set out to build another design business. I set out to build the kind of creative partner I always believed businesses deserved.
My goal has never been to complete a project and disappear. It's to build relationships that last beyond a single design, providing thoughtful creative support that grows alongside the businesses I serve.

My Creative Journey
2011 – Design & Photography
My creative journey began in the fine arts world then quickly evolved into graphic design and photography, where I discovered a passion for visual storytelling and helping ideas come to life.
This foundation taught me that great design isn't just seen—it's experienced.
Quality Assurance
Attention to detail became second nature.
Quality Assurance strengthened my ability to evaluate creative work critically, maintain consistency, and ensure every project met the highest standards before it reached the client.
Print Production
Working in print production showed me the importance of designing with printing in mind and what happens after the design is complete.
I learned the importance of craftsmanship, technical precision, production processes, and delivering work that performs just as beautifully in the real world as it does on the screen.
Project Management
Great creative work doesn't happen by accident—it happens through thoughtful planning, clear communication, and a well-organized process.
Managing projects taught me how to balance creativity with structure, coordinate moving pieces, and guide ideas from concept to completion while keeping every stakeholder aligned.
Technical Writing
Standardize Operating Procedures (SOP) & Work Instructions (WI)
Creativity isn't only about generating ideas—it's also about creating clarity.
Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) strengthened my ability to organize complex information, document repeatable processes, and communicate clearly.
That attention to structure continues to influence the way I approach projects, ensuring every partnership is supported by thoughtful systems as well as creative thinking.
Federal Project Experience
Supporting federal projects introduced a level of responsibility where precision, organization, collaboration, and accuracy weren't optional—they were essential!
Those experiences continue to influence how I manage every project today.

As my career evolved, so did my opportunity to lead. I discovered that successful creative projects are built through trust, communication, and empowering people to work toward a shared vision.

Bringing together everything I'd learned in design, photography, production, leadership, and strategy, I founded KBCreativeNC to provide thoughtful, long-term creative support built on relationships.
